Meet the staff
of East Weymouth
Congregational Church, UCC
Meet our pastor, the Rev. Judith E. Martowska!

The Rev. Judith E. Martowska was called in a unanimous vote of our congregation and brings a wealth of experience to her position.
Born and raised in Norwood, Mass., Judy grew up in the First Congregational Church, UCC, in Norwood, where she was a Sunday School teacher and youth group adviser for many years.
Following her graduation from Norwood High School, where she lettered in three sports, she went to MIT, majored in chemistry and math, and also played sports. After being drawn in a different academic direction, she graduated from Curry College in Milton with a double major in psychology and sociology and a minor in communication. In 2006 she received her Master of Divinity Degree from Andover Newton Theological School. She was named Outstanding Young Church Woman of 2006 by the Massachusetts/Rhode Island chapter of Church Women United, a national movement of Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and other Christian women.
In addition to many other ministerial duties, Judy plans our Sunday services and preaches. You can meet her following our services at our Coffee Hour fellowship.
Victor DeRubeis, Director of Music
Victor has served the church for 10 years and directs our Senior Choir at all services and special children's choirs formed for Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost.
In 1999 he founded the annual Little Christmas in Jackson Square ecumenical Epiphany concerts, which have grown to include six choirs from various churches throughout the area.
Growing up in the Roman Catholic tradition, he studied classical piano for 10 years and has given recitals at Malden Public Library and First United Parish of Everett, and performed with the Boston University Jazz Ensemble.
He has also studied organ privately and provides accompaniment for the congregation and choir on our historic 1906 Hutchings-Votey tracker organ and our 1915 Chickering grand piano.
