WORSHIPING WITH US

What to expect when you visit
East Weymouth Congregational Church, UCC

Whether lively and inspiring or quiet and pensive, our worship is our expression of God's creative, redeeming, and sustaining love in our lives. We gather at at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday during July and August to express our faith in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, to struggle with our doubts, and to find our way home to the right ordering of all our relationships --- human and divine.

When you arrive at our door, you'll be greeted with a smile and a handshake by someone who will give you a worship bulletin and a name tag and help you find a seat. Our order of worship is printed in our weekly bulletins and is easy to follow. Large print bulletins and hearing devices are available.

Our worship services include contemporary and traditional
hymns, prayers, scripture readings, a sermon that lasts for about 20 minutes,an anthem by our choir and an offering of our gifts in thanksgiving to God for what we have received.

We have an historic Hutchings-Votey pipe organ and a Chickering grand piano, both of which are used in our services. Our Senior Choir sings every Sunday of the year, including our more casual summer services, and the repertoire ranges from 13th Century chants to 21st Century jazz and gospel anthems.

Listen to The Sound of History, a concert
on our historic pipe organ!

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Children join adults in worship for 10 to 15 minutes on most Sundays, then proceed to the Church School area for their classes.
